Gravatar "Given how tired many are of Rovian style politics nationally could Clinton win PA and by doing so lose the nomination?" -dyre

Yes that is possible. But if she loses PA she definitely loses the nomination.

"Politics is the art of the possible."

I forgot who said that, but Clinton getting the nomination is only possible if she wins PA.

Gravatar I don't think Clinton can get the nomination unless she cuts Obama's pledged delegate count to below the triple digits. As long as he has that amount of numerical superiority I think he can count on getting the nod.

There is the additional fact that he polls much better against McCain than she does.

Gravatar Kind of the classic "winning the battle and losing the war conundrum", right?

Gravatar Obama looked very uncomfortable last night; he is clearly not ready for the big leagues. His nervousness and insecurity shows when he is not in a comfortable setting such as Hardball with Chris Matthews where he is only getting SOFTBALL questions. The media pampering of this candidate is embarrassing. If he can't take the punches thrown by a woman during a debate how is he going to make tough decisions as president or negotiate with ruthless dictators? The whining from his campaign about the moderators' questions just shows you how delicate you have to be with Obama. Are you sure you want a wimp in the white house?
And now you have the Obama media going after mean Hillary for putting poor little Obama on the spot more than once during last night's debate.

Gravatar I agree with Debra. Obama's poor performance under the gun gave the Superdelegates a lot to think about last night. By itself, not meaningful. But, If Clinton wins PA and IN, then a few more, and if after Puerto Rico, more people over the entire primary season have put an x by her name than put an x by Obama (a probable scenario), the supes will move to Clinton out of self-defense, regardless of pledged delegate count. They'll extract a promise of making Obama VP, in order to unify the party, but I think this senario is very likely.
