Me of declining long-term and short-term memory.

In other presidential elections, if I remember correctly, this was the time of year third-party and independent candidates started coming out of the woodwork. It seems to me the 2008 presidential race has been decided awfully early in the primary process. Now it seems like it's way too late to start declaring yourself as a candidate.

Does anyone with a better memory than me have any insight? I'm tired of these lengthy presidential campaigns that seem to be decided way too early.

Well the same people that declared this the season of the independent also declared Hillary and Giuliani "inevitable".

And yes the primary season is too darn long.
