Just out of curiosity...why only pinto beans? I enjoy pinto beans, but there are so many other good beans out there. I like red beans myself. Are pinto beans more nutritious? Does edamame qualify? It's high in protein.
I also wonder if my contribution may lead to increased methane polution in your area.

Pintos at 56 cents per pound are the most cost effective way of providing the most nutrition for the most people. Additionally they are the prime ingredient in refried beans.The first five pounds I donated to my works food drive had five different types of beans and no pintos.
San Antonio has about a 25% food insecurity rate and a population of slightly over 1.2 million so the number of people that use food banks is rather large. Hence the odds of any family getting two pounds of beans in a row from this food drive are pretty small.
