You HAVE to come to Syracuse, Father!
And while you're at it, why not come to Utica, where she grew up? Her parish church, St. Joseph's-now St. Joseph-St. Patrick-has a shrine to her outside. I think there is also a relic of her somewhere in the church.

I didn't tell you that when her remains came back to the Syracuse diocese in 2005, there was a Mass at her home parish in Utica, St. Joseph. A huge crowd attended-the largest of any event connected with her, even in Syracuse itself! I came by after the Mass was over-don't like big crowds-and I was able to touch the casket. My eyes filled with tears as I said just two words: WELCOME HOME!
