Gravatar Sometimes, all the "Hail Mary's" in the world do not give us what we want. But as you so faithfully follow your vocation, Father, I trust that my "Hail Mary's" for you have not been in vain.

Gravatar Congratulations, Father. You will be a true blessing to the folks in Macoupin County. Thank you for pouring yourself out at St. A's, anyone who knows you can readily see that! May Mary, Our Mother, be your constant guide through this transition.

Gravatar I thought perhaps this was your burden, and though it will be sad that Effingham will no longer be the recipient of your ministry, it was a great blessing that they have been able to glean what they have from your time there.

I will continue in prayer for you, my friend, and best of luck in your new parish.

Gravatar Father Daren...Our family has greatly appreciated your presence at St. Anthony. Our prayers and thoughts are with you as you begin this new journey.

Gravatar Father, you've posted many thoughtful homilies over the past year. This is, may I say, the most moving and profound one yet. (And I'm not even a member of your congregation, nor high school age.) May God be with you and the youth of St. Anthony's alike.

Steve

Gravatar Father I will continue to pray for you. Thanks for the beautiful example of humility you've shown us today.

I will pray for your current parishioners and the students as they wish you well. I know this must be hard for them as it is hard for me to let go of such holy priests who must move on to their next assignment. Oh how I love Jesus because of these priests!

What a joy and a blessing for the people of your new assignment to have you with them. I am so happy for them!

Gravatar Fr.Daren,
Your influence and example to the youth of St. Anthonys has been tremendous. God has blessed us with your presence. Thank you for your friendship, faith, and leadership. You have touch us all in so many ways. Thank you!

Gravatar You'll be fine, and the folks in Virden and Girard will be blessed.

Gravatar Father,
We've all really loved having you here, especially at the high school. You taught us lessons when we didn't even know it, and you've given us advice over the past 4 years that we'll always cherish. Thanks for everything you've done for us!

Gravatar Father, it must be so hard for you to leave this wonderful parish which you spoke of with lots of affection. No doubt you will be a big blessing to your new parishioners. You continue to be in my prayers.
BTW, just make sure you continue to visit your friends in Hawaii.
