Sir, I am not and would not make fun of the Navy or any other branch of the Military. I Love everyone who is serving or has served.
I posted the links and think it is humorous because of the irony. Jimmy Carter is, IMHO, very anti-military and a pacifist.
Dispite the name of the ship it will be a great addition to the USN and I am glad to have it.

I, too suffered from malaise as I surfed through the mocking of the Carter; this quickly shifted to ennui, hunger, and finally acceptance. People (mostly) were just honestly trying to have fun with a political issue, and are (mostly) completely unaware of exactly how awesome, and, in its element, invincible of a war machine the Carter really is. They should have their fun now, and then when the crew of the Carter starts collecting their PUCs, I'm sure they'll have their fun again.
