Sheez, this could get to be a regular thing.

You know, if the U.N. were really worth anything at all (it's not, but if it were), they would be calling for contributors to form several international patrol groups formed specifically to deter international priracy in high threat waterways.

It wouldn't take large task forces to accomplish this mission either, so smaller nations with less robust navies could still contribute significantly to the mission.

Naturally, that would require the U.N. to do something besides talk.
