BWS Fire & Security Systems Limited a UK wide security and fire systems installation and service provider have following extensive development designed and proved a fire detection system based on thermal imaging detectors coupled to CCTV transmission and security products.
The system has been particularly directed towards the recycling and or dirty process industries where standard types of fire detection and alarm systems cannot be employed due to high levels of airborne dust and dirt particulates. The system can be adapted to marine requirements or can be provide in a smaller hand held patrol format.
The system utilises thermal imaging detectors to provide images of heat spots and heat sources.
This technology is currently widely used by the police and military for many other threats and issues.
This new and very advanced technology platform is primarily aligned to a CCTV directional control platform and other security components, to provide an automated viewing system. The system divides a waste stockpile or process area into manageable sections, and when set (normally during closed periods) it accurately measures heat emanating from the waste and sets the collected heat or temperature measurement against tolerable parameters which can be easily set and adjusted as required.
When heat rises above the pre-set threshold measurement the system activates and forwards the collected data together with a thermal image of the alarm area to our alarm receiving centre from where the 24/7 highly trained staff analyse the image and the heat data.
Problematic issues are then forwarded to the site management or the fire brigade as required.
This facility fully monitors and with external help or sprinkler switching prevents the build up of heat and the ever present danger of fire before
real problems coupled with their expensive and environmentally disastrous costs occur.
