i go to a catholic school thats full of rich republican rightwingests, the stuff that comes out of their mouth is truly shocking, 10 people dont believe that the moon landing happened or that their was a cold war :0

Believing in the moon landing is one thing, but true facts should be predominated.
My view regarding about this: I'm pretty sceptic. There are several websites writing about the "false" moon landing. Since it's a US wonder event, I'm actually more sceptic. It's not about believe, it's about truth, but if I were in the 70s or 80s I would probably believe it.
I don't want to go into the details. At least Sam (maybe a few others here too) and I here hold on facts, and 9/11 was everything then just a bad production- however the majority believe that 9/11 was a act of terrorism and the Saddam and the Iraqis were fault of course.
That's the same thing about the moon landing. Do you believe what is shown or you follow and search for true facts.

i can understand how people believe its a fake i mean the cold war and space race, but to me it feels like a lie only the bush administation could cook up
Talking about the Cold War, if it would've 'really' (I think they talk about the nuclear escalation) happen as people think, then we wouldn't sittin in front of our pc's now.
Despite the espionage, mini wars, underground feuds, submarine hunts between East and West was present. But if the Cold War was really going 'too far', then the use of nuclear weapon was just a question of time. And I think that was the thing the church people were talking about.
US and Russian submarines are all set in "stand by". With the direct order from their presidents, they are authorized to launch several ballistic nuke missiles with a devastating result. US submarines are spying and hunting Russian attack submarines, and vice versa. Of course they wont shoot at each other except the right time comes. Remember the coincidence where a US submarine hit a Russian counterpart accidently?
Both West and East are clever enough not to use any nukes, because there are no way out to avoid enemy nukes, unless you destroy their secret plants and silos first, which the probability is very low. Reality: If a nuke war would appear, we were the first who will be ereased just like the dinos.
America want's to disarm their foes, while the US still have a large nuclear arsenal- giving them a capability to blow up the entire earth- enough to clear the world of possible 'terrorists' and making the world uninhabitable. France, UK, Russia, India, Pakistan, N. Korea, China and some black market customers have all nukes. With that dimension, you can probably blow up the entire galaxy.
This isn't as much stupididy as denial and hatrid, but there are still people that don't believe the Holocaust ever happend.
Neo Nazis are the ones who are blending that the Allies induced a fake Holocaust.
The Jewish persecution was no doubt for real. But what I find inconsistent was the fact that Hitler ACCEPTED Half-Jews in the Wehrmacht. They were then naturalized, respectively blooded to "Reichs Deutsche".
In these days, it would be too sensitive to talk about the Holocaust- was it real or was it not. For my taste, I completly back off, but nevertheless I take the historical lession and resonsibilty as a German citizen. Whether it was real or not, enough Jewish and German minorities lost their lives in the beginning of the Reich. There are a lot other facts that did happen for sure and that was documented by the Nazis- mass war crime against French, Polish, Italian, hell against all European civilians.
I know this is a bit off topic, and you might not believe me my fellow English speaking friends.

Alright, I would be suprised if you even let me post this but, come on!! I'm 15 and am in the 10th grade and I know the earth revolves around the sun. Seriously are you sure about the credibility of this article. According to one of your cartoons, "Linda you shouldn't believe every thing you see on tv" this just seems a little stretch to me. You only have to be in the freakin 1st grade to know about the Earth revolving around the Sun. The only way this could be right is if 1 in 5 people he interviewed were from the unfortunately large section of poor people in our country. As for the reason of Bush getting his reelection, JOHN FREAKIN KERRY WAS AN IDIOT!!!! HE SERVED IN VIETNAM AND FILMED HIMSELF SO THAT PEOPLE COULD SEE WHAT A HERO HE WAS!!! HE COULD NOT SAY SOMETHING THE RIGHT WAY AT ALL!! HE USED HIS RANK OF ALTARBOY TO TRY TO WIN THE CHRISTIAN VOTE!!! AND BYGOLLY HE SAID HE COULD WIN THE WAR IN IRAQ IN FOUR YEARS WHICH IS COMPLETELY IMPOSSIBLE!!!! Bush, essentially, was the better of the two. Now, if there had been a person out there with some better sense instead of the two extremes... I don't know...
