It's easy to call these people idiots, but what possible reason could they have to still support this administration?
Is it because they believe if they don't support our President then they aren't supporting the country? I can understand people who own large corporations still supporting Bush because he is making a killing for them. I can understand Christians supporting him, because he has them fooled hook, line and sinker. It boggles my mind.
HAHAHA! Priceless! Bush took orders from "God". That is so funny. This proves that Bush is mentally crazy and needs a good spanky... uh I mean he needs to go back to preschool.
So, his new tactic to gather support for the war in Iraq is to turn the "War on Terror" into a good old-fashioned crusade. Good one, Dubya.
So, yes, Bush is either crazy or deperate for support (most likely both), but this begs the question: why wasn't this statement all over the news in the US? You'd think the media would jump all over something like that.

Isn't this a bit of a problem? Why doesn't the US get on with the times and switch to an STV voting system? The US 1st-past-the-post system is HORRIBLY outdated, and pretty much ensures that since one party will ALWAYS win the majority of seats, nobody will cooperate with another party, which leads to intense polarization of voters ("you're either with us, or you're against us!"). It also means that a 3rd party will never win any votes because people will rightly think "what's the point?". Anyway, check this out:

It didn't happen, unfortunately (the public only voted 57% in support, whereas 60% was needed), but thankfully they're going to try again soon. I really hope that this thing passes.
A third party will come into power, it just depends which of the two parties screws themselves over first. Then, a whole slew of third parties will try to fill the power gap. Then maybe, just maybe, we will get an intelligent canidate past the primaries. But I doubt it. Speaking of which, I think the Constitution should be amended so that only those who recieve above-average scores on the SAT and/or the ACT are qualified to be president. We just can't afford to have a chief executive who doesn't know the difference between a sermon and a biology class.
Oh, and wolf, they had more than just trebuchets in Joan's time. They had siege cannons, handcannons, and a schizophrenic teenager as the french general.
I doubt the two-party system will ever go away and I doubt the Republicans will ever be out of power again. They've successfully convinced Americans that we need them to fight the evil terrorists, even thought they have done everything wrong from day one (invaded iraq, no WMD's, didnt capture osama, prison abuse, no armor for the troops..ect..ect)
Oh well, at least ebolaworld won't run out of material

Strangely enough I hope that Bush lives the rest of his term, that way we don't have to worry about Cheney being the "Prez"... not that he isn't already

much. no, i didn't know the slimy little bastard's stock was doing so very well, but it doesn't really surprise me that cheney's finances are doing fine, while everything else is going to hell.

Cheney makes war on Iraq, Haliburton gets all of the contracts without having to bid for them, government pays Haliburton, Haliburton's stock options soar. Presto, Cheney gets millions of dollars straight out of the federal budget for himself - the federal budget that went to pay Haliburton. (of course, Haliburton gets the contract for rebuilding New Orleans as well)
A modest suggestion: perhaps politicians should be prohibited from holding business investments in companies? Perhaps a radical step, but something has to be done.

I gotta say I find it highly unlikely that Bush is trying to scare the people into support of the War in Iraq. On the subject of supporting the Pres=supporting the Country, well, actually in the Vietnam War (or conflict as it is often called) their was a lot of bad CRAP that went around. For example, ever hear of Hanoi Jane (oh she was such a good girl) THE ONE WHO FREAKIN WENT INTO NORTH VIETNAM AND SAT ON A FREAKIN ANTI-AIRCRAFT GUN WAS STANDING RIGHT THERE WHEN THE VIETCONG HELD GUNS AT THE PRISONERS HEADS FORCING THEM TO SAY THAT THEY WERE BEING TREATED WELL AND THEN WATCHED THEM GET TORTURED. Coincidentally when those brave soldiers and Marines got back they got no hero's welcome they deserved they got crap crap and more crap. This is why it is not the best idea to smash the government or the military or their actions overseas. This is why the torture scenes on TV really make the American people angry because of memories of past problems caused by the (I know you don't want to hear this) biased media.
