My computer friend said the alienware I bought is so powerful it could act as a server. So I guess you guys can expect a lot more cartoons next year. This year has been a very dry due to the fact it’s been such a pain to make anything on my current computer.

Yeah, Alienware delivers high end hardware and they want a lot cash for exchange.
The altnernative way, would be to 'build' your own Alienware workstation.

Replace graphics card, and so on. Or, build your pc without the specified components and buy other hardware from another retailer so you can implement it to your AW pc later on.

Your workstation requires a lot more, despite the future of large data files. I'll recommend you to install a second harddrive (your old one can make it too) or put up an external USB harddrive. The second option looks more interesting for me, since you can connect your harddrive to any pc with USB output.
You work faster and more efficient with your new pc. Sooner or later 160GB is almost on limit. However, at the end it depends what kind of files, how many and how big these files are. Moreover it is also a question for what purpose you going to use your workstation.
Personally, I invest in an external USB harddrive right now, because years over years more data comes in and I cannot put everything in a DVD-R everytime.

Baxshtor, I already have an external harddrive, but do plan to upgrade the alienware one after I get it… if I ever get it that is.
I must say I've been very disappointed in Alienware’s service so far. The computer itself has progressed at a snails pace, and no body there seems to know what’s going on. I’ve been told many reasons for the slowness and all have been proven wrong. Now thanks to me, Alienware is no longer selling XP Professional x64 Edition because they couldn’t get it to work with my computer. I was forced to get the reagular XP Professional instead. I’m really dissatisfied after all the glowing reviews I’ve read about this company.
