The United States government has also had connections in the past with supporting terrorism (eg. the precursors to the taliban a few decades ago). Does this mean that all American companies are dangerous?

Besides this, the company in question is already managing many ports in Canada and Europe, where there has been no outcry.

My friend grew up in the UAE. Despite having a progressive society, it also has many starving persons willing to wash your windshield for pocket change.
I'd imagine Dubai Ports World has an excellent record on security/terrorism. However, this deal is dirty and it stinks.
