There will always be people who do things that are hurtful, wrong, or abhorrent. The fact that you recognizes evil for evil and good for good is a GOOD thing. The fact that you recognize these slimebags for what they are is COMMENDABLE. Don't let these douchebags get you down. Don't let scum like Pat Robertson make you give up on what is Good, what is Beautiful and what is True.
