Gravatar Regarding Malkin's article on the "liberal left" (a term I have to never understood any more than whatever a "christian right" label is supposed to mean) and CafePress, curious as to what people would say to this product on a Republican CafePress created site:

http://www.cafepress.com/ republi...blichc.19653595

A product that encourages people to shoot at a past President? I guess one can make a distinction that it's for toy guns or darts, but at what point do you draw the line when the message is about taking aim at a U.S. President, Senator or Representative, past or present?

Gravatar That's called a "dartboard" -- a device at which one throws darts. This does not condone using a deadly weapon to kill a President of the United States. It's truly sad that I must point this out.

Gravatar Chris is right. That dartboard is no where near the level of what Ms. Malkin pointed out.

"Christian Right" refers to a subset of the political right of center that are also (primarily) Evangelical Christians.
Their religious beliefs often influence their political views.

"Liberal Left" refers to a subset of the political left of center that are *way* left of center. Example, hard core Deaniacs.

Gravatar Sheryl Crowe (in your link): "I don't ever want to play for a regular audience again, only military folks who are starving for music."

Yeah, that's sinking real low, isn't it? You must not like our troops, to cite that as hate speech.

On to how you view your "enemy:"

"Liberal Left" refers to a subset of the political left of center that are *way* left of center

That is what you call a self-referencing definition. What is "left?"

What's ironic about this post, is how often right wingers deride Bush critics as haters. And how often they use chants and mantras to drown out critics, if the critics are even allowed in to taxpayer-funded events to see our President speak.

Gravatar Please, I've given Ms.Crowe credit for her work with the troops, but she, along with others were all for Clinton's unilateral regime changing foreign adventures in Europe, where we still have troops stationed in a long lasting quagmire, but opposed actually removing a mass murderer who was bribing UN officials in record breaking numbers. One of the things I give Jeanne Garofalo credit for was that she was opposed to President Clintons various unilateral invasions in Europe. Nobody was paying much attention to her back then, but at least she's consistant.

Excuse me while I break out the violin over your whining about staged political events. Both sides have 'em. President Clinton and his team were masters at it.

Left of Center isn't hard to understand either. Ted Kennedy is way left of center. He's got a 95% or better rating from liberal watch dog groups.
Strom Thurmond was way right of center. The extremists on either side make better headlines.
