Which is one of things she is admired for by her friends on both sides of the aisle.

Another important point is that Ms. Coulter is a private citizen. Ok, a private citizen with several NYTimes best selling books, a widely read column, and can get on the Bill Maher TV show by picking up the phone, but still a private citizen.
Howard Dean, a hard left liberal extremist, is the head of the democrat party. This guy is so far to the left, he even scared democrat primary voters!
Making him the head of one of the major parties has a serious chilling effect on anybody in both parties who lives more toward the center.
Imagine the screaming if the Republicans had made Pat Bucannan the Chairman of the RNC.
That is how anybody even close to being a Centrist feels about the Dean appointment.
