It's not the cure you're looking for. Typically states without Income taxes have skyhigh realestate and sales taxes.
What you really want is them to cut the budget.
Here in the Peoples Commonwealth we have law in place that limits the rate of rise in real estate taxes already.
As for getting them to cut the budget, please refer to the parts about a massively corrupt, democrat controlled legislature and governor.
Laws can be overturned - especially when the they need their green fix.
If you get them to remove the income tax, the money is going to have to come from SOMEWHERE, and that means other taxes, even if they have to overturn existing law to do it.
Hell man, this is Massachusetts! The legislature here has been known to flat out ignore the will of the people! The state Speaker of the House has said that he will ignore this bill if it passes.
Our corrupt state government is already jacking other taxes through the roof. All this bill is going to do slow the rate of them jacking taxes through the the roof.
Even if my local town raises it taxes to cover what it may loose in "state aide" I come out ahead. The town I live in pays over three times to the state than it gets back.
