Congratulations to both sisters for a wonderful match. As a kid, I could never have imagined that I would be watching two African American woman playing against each other in the Wimbledon final...and more than once! Thanks to both Venus and Serena for showing me that, as far as tennis is concerned, the future is now!

Are yall serious? Ann? Great game? Serena got skunked. Perhaps you referring to a specific "game" within the match? She didn't loose a SET the entire tournament and went out and got skunked by her sister. Granted it's not a normal match and I've already conceded that the Williams sisters DO in fact have a little left in the tank but with Serena being the clearly more talented of the two I was very disappointed in the results. A four setter with a tiebreak somewhere in there would have been much better.

BoC me either. I absolutely fell in love with tennis in high school, and at the time I could NEVER even consider two Black women playing in a final, let alone two sisters! Venus and Serena have added value to the sport of tennis in a way that was definitely not foreseeable. Their impact will be felt long after they hang up their racquets.

Hey Lady!!! I just got my internet connection back up and running! Since landing here in Dallas my internet has not been up to par, but it is operational now. anyway I was standing in a laundromat (since the truck with my stuff was 5 days late!) watching as the sisters did there thing and Venus beat lil sis! I knew you would be all over it!
Congrats to both the ladies in their individual and their doubles victory!
They played extremely well!
