Goooo Serena. Those kids are sooo beautiful. I wish I could hug each one of them. Wow, you just never know where Serena's inspiration will lead them!

Serena has made quite a mark for herself in America and now she is making her mark world wide. Her contributions to Africa are amazing. She and her sister are some unique women.

It's always great to see an athlete give something back. And it's especially impressive to me that she's doing something on a global scale.

You don't like red lipstick Mike? (I personally hate it.)
Isn't that the truth Jacqueline? You know the trials that their young lives undergo given a lot of the conditions of poverty and Aids in Africa. There little faces look so bright and happy. I'm sure that this inspiration will lead some of them somewhere worthwhile.
She is indeed growing a wonderful legacy Dee. She can't do anything better than to do a lot of the giving back worldwide that she is doing.
That's how I feel about it Van. That global reach to a place where it is truly needed is something that will last and benefit these children immensely.
She seems to be everywhere Regina. She can probably forgo some of that exercise that she hates this month.

She must have spoken to Oprah and her reasonong behind opening a school in Africa as opposed to the US.
Regardless of where the school is, it's great to see Ms Williams giving back.

Hasheem that is definitely a hot shot of her. It looks like she's filming a commercial with all of those men following her.
Most definitely UBJ. The benefit to the children who attend that school will be immeasurable.
Me too Shae-Shae. I was wondering if she would have a hand in it's operation to ensure that an institution named for her would be run properly.
I'll have to check that out Mike. I'm sure that it's on point.

I think what is important is she is using her fame as a tool to accomplish something. The computer laboratory and Internet facilities for the students is something I don't know if people understand is huge, it is technology on some level which separates us over here from them over there. I won't go on about it, but when you have the basics after that it is technology computers especially which will ease Africa into the 21st century and have a big effect on easing poverty, as it goes a long way in encouraging science and engineering
at a time when the Agricultural Age is ending, has ended for industrialized countries.
I don't mind red lipstick but as I think all ,ake-up needs to be used as theater and I don't think e need much theater in daily life she should save it for another event.

I think it's wonderful that Serena Williams is using her wealth and fame to benefit people in other parts of the African diaspora. These kinds of relationships between African Americans and our brothers and sisters on other continents builds strong communities and a strong sense of identity for Black people worldwide.
