It must be nice to be tall and perfectly fit. I wish I could grow another six inches.

I didn't know about her clothing line until your message. Thanks for sharing the 411!
I see that your Technorati ranking has grown considerably in the past few weeks. You are up to #72 in the Black Blog Ranking.

This might sound goofy or corny...so what!
Everytime I read or view anything about these young ladies I get goose bumps. The feeling a mother gets when she sees her baby girls developing into beautiful (inside as well as outside) women.

Well, congrats to Venus. She and her sister have always set the trend in the tennis world. They both have come a long way from the beads dropping on the court. I love the clothing line. some fabulous outfits.

Venus is going to make her mark in this world above and beyond tennis, design and fashion. When she's on tour, you will find her in bookstores and museums in her spare time because she's interested in the history of and the people in the places she travels. Her fight for equal pay at the tournaments(supporting the fabulous Bille Jean King)has been highly praised and sparked her interest fighting for women's rights all over the world. I think she is a true "Renaisance Woman." I give all respect to her parents for instilling in their girls that there was life beyond the tennis court. It's great the way they've used the advantages that tennis has given them as a springboard into other ventures. Now having said that, I still want to see them winning on the tennis courts for a long time! LOL!

Oh,Chelle!
I feel exactly the way you do about those girls. It is a motherly thing, isn't it? I mean, we've watched them from little bitty girls with those braids bouncing on their heads. Even now I still have stop myself from speaking baby-talk with I refer to them! How sappy is that? LOL!

Not sappy at all Unit6109, because I also agree, it's like watching your own dauhters. You are so right about Venus, I think that she is building a life that will sustain her long beyond Tennis. Their parents have created a wonderful foundation in these girls, and they are constantly presenting it to the world.
