Well, well, well...look what we have here. I think I'm going to have to PARTIALLY eat my words about the sisters being cooked. I DID say it doesn't count unless they do it in a major and one of them will. So I do owe them both an apology.
HOWEVER...my frustration has always been with Serena who is clearly the more talented of the two and her focus. She MUST win this match. I know it will become clouded in the nostalgia of the event but if she wants to be great she has to win...not finish second place to her sister. An accomplishment none the less...kudos.

At this point I'm just where you said "clouded in the nostalgia of the event", but also in the reality that they have done what none other has done before, and that is where I will remain until it's over.
The ladies have persevered, put away the competition and given themselves yet another opportunity to make sports history. And I'm all about it!!!

Its always a joy when the sisters play each other in a championship match...but always bitter sweet when that match is over cause only one can win. So Venus's win is bitter sweet today...oh, well...when they win the doubles that will mean that ALL the $$$ goes home with the sistahs! That ain't half bad!
And that's what makes it all better SjP, they get to pocket all those winnings! It goes from bittersweet to cha-ching !
