Nice match. Venus should have won, although I wanted Serena to win, because she has the shot at #1 which Venus won't after this tournament.
For that reason I have this nagging suspicion...I just can't shake the thought...you think?

Hey BlogPassion! I don't think so, but only because Venus looked sooo disappointed after the match and during the press conference. I mean she really looked shaken. So for reason, and that reason ONLY, I don't think.

After all of these years, it amazes me that people still question their integrity. That is such a shame. I mean, they did not even hug afterwards like usual. When I was younger and competed against my older sister I wanted to clean her clock. I do not even let my 10 year old daughter win at cards or checkers. She has to earn the win.
Why oh why is it impossible to believe that they both want to win grand slams even if they have to play each other. Did you see the reaction from their sister Isha? In a few years, when the Radwanska's play each other professionally, please question their integrity also.

Yeah Guys,
It also troubles me that people would question their integrity. Venus said it best at Wimby when that awful Demetieva made her comment. To say that they are a credit to their sport the the understatement of the century. I felt so badly for Venus because I saw that she was so bummed out by this loss.

Hey folks, just being honest...I have seen the results on their faces after playing one another in tournaments, and I remember the interviews where they answered questions regarding allegatios of their dad's "deciding" who will win which tournament. And I have heard both women describe how badly they want to win, but it still did not dismiss that whim of a thought I had...just an itty bitty whim. And this is the first time I have ever had that thought.
I am happy for Serena, because she has a shot at number one again.

I logged on today to see what you were saying about the imminent suspension for their boycott at Indian Wells. I was very proud of the sisters this week they played a very competitive match against each other with passion that was authentic. But I think their off the court prowess actually plays into their hands this time. What do you think about their boycott.

That was a great game! For once, they did not disappoint. Both really put on a show.
So glad Serena won. I'm always rooting for her, although I love them both!

Hi Juan,
I'm glad that my sistas are already multi-millionaires and can make that decision purely on principle. The WTA thinks that they can bully them into playing with the threat of suspension. PLEASE! They're just giving Serena more time to go to some of the other stuff she goes to.
My hat is off to the ladies. If they truly believe that they underwent racist behavior in Indian Wells, they have my support wholeheartedly and the WTA can take a flying leap!
Hey Fitness Diva! I enjoyed it too. I always have a little bit of a lean towards Venus, but I'll take either Williams sister when it comes down to it.

YEAAHHHH! Congrats Serena on getting to the finals!
Shelia, you can add to you announcer blunders...lol. During the 1st set, at 5-3 with Serena serving, Dick Enberbg identified Richard Williams and "Oracene" as the camera panned on Richard and his lady friend, who clearly wasn't Oracene...LOL. Don't they sit on opposite sides of the courts? If not, maybe Oracene was next to them, but not in the camera. I still like Dinara's game. But it is Serena all the way.

I know Blogpassion ! I am so glad to see her in the final here.
I slept off and on most of the day, maybe I dozed off on that faux pas. But how in the name of all that is holy could he make that mistake!
And yes, they do sit far apart now. Oracene "took" the box .
And I'm a Safina fan too. I'll be glad to see her take the trophy one day.
You're right Jacqueline. Remember when she used to give Venus all those evil eyes after Venus would beat her back a few year ago. Baby sis don't play!
