I had a teacher my junior year of high school (just a few years ago) that blatantly admitted to us that she needed her students to get high marks on an upcoming state test. With that, she told us that come test day, she would "forget" to take down quick-answer posters around the room, and that she might "accidentally" help us with questions on the test. I thought it was totally awesome then, but now I look back and see that she was just doing it for her own benefit.

Followers follow only as well as leaders lead. Our state school systems are failing and we wonder why. Smoking pot in the classroom?! (I highly doubt it was that sub's first time with Puff the Magic Dragon.)
