The Education Wonks

Gravatar Another example of the NEA assuming "the position" rather than tolerate any demands on the part of their constitutents to listen to their concerns.

I've read this blog, after you pointed the way, EdWonk, and I find it quite enlightening. It is definitely a step in the right direction!

What is so difficult? What is so scary?

Gravatar Frankly, what you'd have in an NEA blog would be just what you see on Edwize--a one-sided propaganda rag that neither addresses the concerns of its membership on the front page nor responds to them in the comments.

I'm certain the NEA has some newsletter to tell you what a wonderful job they're doing. Another newsletter to reinforce that sontention, I'm afraid, would still almost certainly fail to persuade you.

And I speak from experience on this. Since Edwize appeared, my confidence in the UFT has gone from fairly reliable to non-existent.

I'm not anti-union, by the way. I'm simply pro-democracy.
