Unix/Linux geeks prefer backticks "`" over apostrophes. Much more powerful.

You mean that there are people and web sites out there who want to curb our children's freedom of expression as regards their use of the elusive apostrophe? How awful! Whatever can we do to preserve the artless expression of freedom that is inherent in the American Dream of simple childhood? What's next -- that we force these innocents to learn and follow rules of spelling? Rules of grammar? Rules of (Heaven forbid) conduct?
