This time around, I suspect that we will see a massive public backlash on this issue. Last year, it was a novelty, and political correctness reigned. Any student, particularly of Hispanic heritage who wanted to skip school for reasons noble or base was allowed, even encouraged to do so. But I doubt that this will be the case from now on, except in bastions of PC splendor like San Francisco.

There are times when people should work quietly behind the scenes rather than resort to 60's tactics. To paraphrase Lincoln, it is better to remain silent and be thought to advocate wholesale violation of American law than to speak up and remove all doubt.
