Great carnival but one point. You framed one link by saying, "Pete the teacher asked that question so many of us would like to ask of those students who we know are capable of learning but choose not to."

I don't think Pete's blog asked that question at all. I think the point was that these kids are great learners, they just don't play the game of school too well. And maybe that's to be admired.
