The Education Wonks

Gravatar I think you're wrong on that. There is a momentum picking up against Hillary and for Barack Obama. But it does depend upon a groundswell from people in neighborhoods and the like to get out the word and the vote.

Like you, I believe that if Hillary Clinton is elected we will have four more years of scorched earth politics with scandal after scandal. I'm working to do whatever I can to prevent that.

Gravatar I wish that we were wrong.

But we ain't.

Not since Jimmy Carter (and we all know how that went) ran back in '76 has an insurgent candidate actually taken the Democratic nomination.

The machine is just too strong.

The Dem's standard-bearer will be Hillary Rodham-Clinton.

And when it comes to the general election, all the ClintonBots in the MSM will ensure that she gets favorable coverage while McCain is made to look (unfortunately) old and feeble.

You can count on it...

Gravatar McCain, aka, Senor Shamnesty may well be the GOP nominee, however, that will make me(a Republican to the bone) vote for Clinton or Husein Obama, aka Oprah Obama. LOSERS one and all!

Gravatar I am looking forward to voting for Hillary on the 5th (and in November), and I am excitedly anticipating her presidency.

Whatever happens in the election, the new president can't be worse than Bush.

If someone twisted my arm and I had to vote for a Republican, it would be John McCain. This is the first election I can remember in a long time in which I didn't feel like I had to hold my nose while I voted for the person I disliked least.

Gravatar Obviously, Dana wants an Open Border and forgiveness for the illegals who broke the laws of our land.....wimps all.

Gravatar Huff's web page is not impressive....sorry dear..

Gravatar Republican, Democrat, whatever. All of these are entrenched politicans who belong to the special interests that contribute to their warchests (campaigns). Be they oil companies, the military industrial complex, the educational testing companies, corporate farm interests, commodies producers.....they pay for their politicians and Americans suffer for it. Hillary, Obama, McCain,......doesn't matter. They are all in it for their own profit.

Gravatar Polski3 is correct as always. Polski3 is one of the finest!!!

Gravatar All those so-called scandals you mentioned from Clinton 1 weren't real. They were just creations by the vast right-wing conspiracy to discredit the administration.

Just ask Mrs. Clinton, she'll tell you I'm right

Gravatar Darren is a close 2nd to Polski3 and Clinton will Kackle Kackle Kackle. I admire Polski and Darren...keep it comin' boys.......

Gravatar Funny we haven't heard from Ed Wonker, I mean Wonk.....lately.....Gaius wants to hear from you.......

Gravatar This is the first time in 30yrs that I switched parties to specifically vote anti-Clinton.

Gravatar We like the music of Hawaii.

There was a time (back before our salary was cut in '02-03) when we once dreamed of visiting Hawaii one summer...

Gravatar Octavius, why the nastiness? I don't recall that I was all that insulting of the opinions expressed here, though I didn't agree. And I didn't resort to ad hominem attacks, i.e. "wimp" or the like, either. I don't mind being disagreed with, but this is why I generally don't talk politics. It brings out the worst in people. Why, perfect strangers even insult each other over the Internet over politics. Well, I'll leave you all to it, then.

Gravatar I'm not all against Hillary. But I completely against her scandals and her view on illegal immigrants. Wait, then I think I'm wrong in my first sentence, I should reverse it.

Gravatar She's not the Countess of Chappaqua... she's a carpetbagger. I no longer live in Chappaqua (haven't since high school, praise God!), but my understanding is that the Clintons really have brought a lot of unwanted attention to the neighbourhood... I went to school with FDR's granddaughter, some Kennedy relations, many children of celebrities and CEOs, etc. NONE of them have attracted this kind of attention to themselves. Ever.

Both my parents spent a good part of their childhood there. My cousins lived there until their adult years. I'm glad for their sakes that Chelsea didn't go to Greeley...

Needless to say, I hope Hillary loses, but I feel sorry for New Yorkers because she represents them.
