Arggh! No accountability? No Accountability?!!

Somehow, in all of my years in teaching, I guess I've missed the essential truth that I have no accountability--absent massive federal intrusion and testing--for my work. I've seen many bad teachers fired, others disciplined for genuine misdeeds, and still others helped to become more effective teachers, but no accountability?

I really have to move to Washington DC so that I too may experience the sensory enhancement that apparently allows only the denizens of the beltway to perceive a reality that seems not to exist outside the beltway.
