Wow! Assuming that the statistic is genuine and based on solid research, that is a horrifying percentage.

All that being said, it does not cost a fortune to buy a jar of peanut butter and a jar of jelly. I know of many, including myself, who took peanut butter and jelly sandwiches to school every day during the year, while the richer kids got to buy cafeteria food. We need to get away with the libtard view that the gov't. needs to take care of everyone.

I keep hoping that the recession will slowly fade, so that everyone's life - especially kids' life - would get better. *sigh*
P.S. I would like to link exchange with your blog if possible; I'm sure my readers would find it a valuable resource. Let me know.

Dumb...really dumb...
NO, what this REALLY means is that the criteria for qualifying for food stamps has become so liberal that WAY too many people qualify...
You have to fight like a dog to get kids OFF the free lunch program... all the forces align to expand the rolls
Hell, even ILLEGALS get food stamps... and somehow we're supposed to cluck our tongues about what a shame it is that things are so bad that we even provide free food and housing to citizens of ANOTHER COUNTRY???
