I know you don't know me, but I just wanted to let you know that I've missed you too, and if good karma is what you are looking for... when you write, lives change, whether it be forever or just a fraction of time.
"Every day we slaughter our finest impulses. That is why we get a heart-ache when we read those lines written by the hand of a master and recognize them as our own, as the tender shoots which we stifled because we lacked the faith to believe in our own powers, our own criterion of truth and beauty. Every man, when he gets quiet, when he becomes desperately honest with himself, is capable of uttering profound truths. We all derive from the same source. There is no mystery about the origin of things. We are all part of creation, all kings, all poets, all musicians; we have only to open up, to discover what is already there." ~Henry Miller

OK, I finally stop checking obsessively, and then look! Two posts have magically appeared. It's like the universe has been telling me to let go, and when I did, you came back!! No? Oh. OK then, it's just coincidental. I'll take that, because it's such a happy coincidence!! I have missed you.

Welcome back Jill, it's such a pleasure to read your writing. I've been slacking, uninspired, (and dare I say insipid?) in my own writing these days, so I hope your commitment will inspire me as well (but you know, no pressure...)

welcome back indeed - to both of us i guess, because i've been away so long i feel prodigal.
please write. concrete dare or quiet assignment ... or vice-versa ... it's a performative kind of statement, and de facto everyone wins. including the prodigal blog-readers.
