Good article - I've thought for years that the Chinese government has all it can handle keeping a lid on a billion surly, underoccupied peasants.

And if push comes to shove? They need us. Badly. They can play GO all they want to, but if American consumers stop buying their stuff and it starts to pile up on the docks?

That is what wars are for. You produce stuff then ship it to Iraq to be blown up along with workers who might cause trouble at home.
