Mannesmann Demag. My company at the time was suing the shipping company my husband was working at, Hellenic Lines, over an unsecured crane that hit a guard tower in the Suez, toppling the guards into the sea. heh.
It was in court for YEARS. My boss would snarl at me, "Ven vill he (Mr. Kallimanopolis) settle?" and I, knowing the gentleman in question very well, would have to say, "When he is dead."
Sure enough, the company settled with the Old Man died.
US trade deficit hits another record (surprise, surprise).
I love the graphic with the article. It attributes part of the deficit to imports of French wine.

Gah. Blogger has completely blown away. I can't post anything nor fix the stuff blogger screwed up. This really is annoying as heck.
Seems one of their servers crashed, they bought a new server and when they installed it, it caused a cascade problem with the other servers so it is getting worse and worse. Last night, I could post sporatically.
Now, it is eating postings and making a general mess of everything including swallowing bits or double posting, etc.
Grinding my teeth over this. I have severa articles in the pipeline, waiting for blogger to unclog itself.

And Akamaru has something to say to Arthur and she can't! Gah.
Seems blogger is totally down. I can't do any repairs on my own postings or put in any stories. Lord knows when they will get it up again and they say absolutely nothing.
Not all of blogger is down, Atrios has been able to post and even Arthur slipped in something! Gah.
