That's a load of crap. Perhaps our government should consider contributing money from the defense budget towards anti-obesity efforts. Or perhaps some of their hundreds of thousands of dollars in annual salary.
I agree with Kevin. There are too many overpaid political figures out there who could definitely take a pay cut to help our nation's issues. A fat tax seems like a cop out to me. Lame!

Seems ridiculous to me; are they going to start charging a "fat tax" for everything with lots of calories or fat? Kind of a (pointless) black hole, if you ask me. How about not feeding your kids crap instead?

Wow, a fat tax. Next thing you know they're going to try to tax us for how much we use the bathroom. I'm sure they probably are one way or another.
