Since war is the health of the state, how can you blame statists for seeing to optimize that health?
All the things the right wing loves--increased surveillance, consolidation of power and of wealth, quashing of dissent, increased police powers, suppression of individuality in the name of a Grand Cause--these are all facilitated by war. Of course they love it.
