I love that Krall album, too, but I totally forgot it was a 2004 release!
Alison Moyet..ahhh...what a beautiful voice. And I never even considered a holiday album in this list. That BNL is one of my fave holiday recordings of the last several years.

I gave serious consideration to the Diana Krall album, too. It's a great bit of music! But ultimately I had so many others I couldn't include it. I'm glad you did.

I couldn't come up with 5 songs or albums from 2004 so I sat out this week. I need to check out some of Alison Moyet's later work because I enjoyed her output with Yaz and her solo hit from 1985 (Invisible).
By the way, I am really digging your new blog layout. I think you may have to change your name to Mistress of the Day or Light.

I picked the Costello album too. I don't think it's perfect, though. I could do without a few of the country ballads. But it does have some great stuff.
