I don't see Donnelly and Piniero being necessarily upset. They don't have save provisions in their contracts, they have games finished provisions. In the course of 162 games, the starters may finish 15 games combined. If Paps saves 45, that still leaves 100 games where someone needs to finish. The likelyhood is that they will have plenty of chances to come in and finish games that end in non-save situations...

Vic - that's a good point.
But certainly, Pineiro can't be thrilled with not having the opportunity to get labled as a proven closer. In arbitration or on the free agent market, saves = money in most cases.
