I really like the Elinor can't read socks! They are lovely. I am finding it tricky to find sock patterns for men.

I've probably gushed before about how much I enjoyed the CFS pattern but here it is again: I love it. The perfect balance of ease and interest! And your Gentleman's Socks are great. I don't know if my husband will ever get a pair of fine-gauge socks...it's his own size-13 fault. That's just entirely too much foot.

My knitting is slowed down a great deal by the amount of time I spend in admiration of my work! Sometimes it dawns on me that I'm creating such amazing things out of a piece of string, at which point I have pause and admire even longer!

You've totally inspired me to go out and buy more solid sock yarn. I always mean to, but I go to the yarn store and get distracted by all the fun color combinations and before I know it, I'm at home with more variegated yarn.
Both sets of socks are fabu! The husband sock heels look great with the contrasting color. Who cares if the pattern is misread as long as the guy wears them??

I think a yarn diet is exactly what I need! Funny thing though, every time I'd like to make a project for my daughter, there is never the right yarn in my stash. Just tonight I've ordered yarn for the Katharine Hepburn Cardigan in Lace Style. Sigh!The temptations are just horrible, no will power here! ;o)
LOVE IT! nancy for president woo hoo baby! OH you and your glorious socks. You always insprire me. How you do that WITH A BABY in addition to your whole home-made baby wipes and washing of diapers blows my mind. I may have to get just a few more sock yarns now....
14 months? seriously? I had to re-read that part because I thought surely it said 14 days or 14 weeks. 14 MONTHS? wow.
Still jogging, but got lazy. Brew 2 Brew is coming up fast. I've been voted off the whole "just stop by the yarn shop" since I'm riding with my brother's coworkers and they thought he was INSANE when he tried that on the rest of the crew. *sigh* I'll have to wait for April 15th's run.

I love the gentleman-ish socks, too, but isn't Swish worsted weight? How did it knit up for socks? Ooh, I bet it was fast, and they don't look chunky at all. [runs off in search of earlier posts]

Love the socks and love Nancy Bush as well as the rest of the Bushes. When I need sock pattern inspiration her books are the first ones I reach for. I always try to think up clever names for the socks I knit and I like your name for the railway stitch socks. I like your heel treatment.
The Child's First Sock is on my list to knit someday. Yours looks fantastic.

Yeah, Nancy for prez! Ha ha! I knit that same pattern (child's first sock) in a similar color, but more of a raspberry. You have excellent taste

Love the title of this post, and wish if only Nancy Bush were running the country. Just think of the different place we'd be right now!! And we'd all have great socks too!
