I love the cable twist socks! That's such a great color. I have yet to make a pair of Jaywalkers, so you're not alone. I probably won't ever make a pair because for some reason, I'm one of the few who don't like the pattern that much. Just doesn't appeal to me. *shrug*

I, too, have never knit Jaywalkers, but am about to attempt a toe-up pair. I do like the colors of that Regia... And your cable twist socks are lovely!

I have never made a pair of jaywalkers! Though I might soon.
The cable twists are great and a very pretty color.

Yay! You finished them, I'm sure your aunt will wear them happily.
I know I'm going to have to get around to frogging the 1 and 1/3 pair of Jaywalkers that I know I will never finish...

I, too, have not made jaywalkers yet; mostly because I have a freakish aversion to variegated yarns (pooling makes me shriek!) and just haven't thought about making solid ones. Your cabley socks are FANTASTIC! There is something so comforting about them. Perfect yarn choice for the pattern. I have already been over to the knitpicks website to check out the swish colors for some Cable Twist socks of my own. Beautiful job!

Your socks look great!! I too have never made Jaywalkers, but then, I've only ever made one pair of socks. I just can't knit them well. I also haven't knit the other pattern, Clapotis, that everyone else in blogland has made. Maybe someday!

I have to tell you that I was also pretty 'meh' about the Jaywalkers at first, especially since I had to rip out and reknit the gussets a mazillion times because of my narrow heels and high arches, but here's the thing.....until I wore them, I didn't understand.
Now I do.
These socks? Do Not Fall Down. I kid you not. Maybe this is not a problem in your life, but I have never worn a pair of socks, handknit or otherwise that did not fall down. Jaywalkers to the rescue. No falling down and masters at taming the pool-y variegated yarns. So, while it turns out that they're not my favorite to knit, I'm on my 2nd pair because it turns out that they are my favorites to WEAR. Go figure.
Just thought you should know.

I am so impressed you knit socks. I just can't get myself interested in such a teeny project that must be so precise. Chunky yarn was made for knitters like me. Those, on the other hand, are gorgeous!

Jaywalkers that don't fall down? I must have knit my ONE SOCK (can't motivate myself to start the other one) too big as it's all meh meh... crappy looking on my foot. I like the way yours are striping up, quite cool.
THOSE CABLE TWIST SOCKS LOOK GREAT! I'm really REALLY going to have to make a pair now.

BTW, I am LOVING your professional looking patterns over there...the baby in the background of the hat pic is so artsy fartsy, I'd swear I saw it in a knitting magazine. VERY TRES CHIC!

I made my mother-in-law a pair of socks for Christmas, and she told me they're "so lovely she's saving them for special occasions." Yeah. Off the list.
The Cable Twist socks look great--I have to try that pattern. But gah, why do I keep buying self-striping when I don't love Jaywalkers either??

Lovely socks for your aunt! And, even though you're not too enamored with the pattern, that yarn looks great knit up as jaywalkers!

Your cable twist socks look fabulous. I made one pair of jaywalkers and you're right, it's a good pattern for that yarn, but it's not my most favorite. I had to rip it at least two times because they kept turning out so tight I could get my foot into it!
