Exercise Before Knitting

Gravatar These are absolutely beautiful!

Gravatar Lovely socks! I like the stockinette back, I'm considering that for my sockapalooza socks.

Gravatar Oooh, beautiful socks! I really love the colors.

Gravatar Those are so pretty, love the yarn!

Gravatar Beautiful socks! I love your modifications. The yarn is so pretty.

Hmm...to entertain my kids, I had more kids. Now they play with each other and leave me to my knitting!

Gravatar so pretty! that yarn is really nice, esp. the striping. woolarina's been on my list for a while, but I haven't tried any yet.

Gravatar Those are great socks! Love the colors. I don't feel like a SAHM yet, my baby eats and sleeps and when awake is totally entertained by her activity mat. I still have moments to knit. I wonder how much longer that will last...

Gravatar I agree, the striping on the feet is beautiful!! I really like the yarn.
I'm an at home mom and pretty much exhausted everyday and living very close to completely out of control.

Gravatar I love these. The colors are wonderful!

Gravatar Such lovely socks!

I can tell you what I do. Two things really help, coffee (I drink watered down joe to make it last or decaf if I'm out) and I take little Miss out a lot. To the zoo, to the Aquarium, the Museums, the library. Most places have a membership so you can go as many times as you'd like. And there are things to do at places you wouldn't expect-like Barnes and Noble Storytime, movies for Moms, etc.

Gravatar Beautiful! And the other beautiful thing is the package I got from you today - lovely, manly, and just perfect for San Diego. Thanks for the lovely surprise!

Gravatar they are stunning, love the colour and the stripes. I love how fab your pics are of your socks!!!

Gravatar Your socks turned out so pretty, and the modifications you made fit so well.

Gravatar Thank you for the comment on my blog. There are always ways of beautifying your stash. I am thinking about buying a huge glass bowl or vase, you know one of those tall ones and balling all of my leftovers and putting them in there. That way I can just look at them. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder!

Gravatar oooh, purty socks!
"exhausted and crazy" is exactly why i can't do the stay-at-home thing full-time. i mean, i practically do already, but with a doctorate to finish, it keeps me focused.

Gravatar I love your socks! They're absolutely beautiful.

Gravatar Those socks are gorgeous -- wonderful matching of pattern & yarn!

Gravatar Beautiful socks!!

I am a sahm and I wonder how working moms do it!!

My secret is being horribly selfish. The days I am selfish are the best days...I deserve me time!!!

Gravatar Beautiful socks! The yarn looks soft yet durable from here.

Gravatar The socks are lovely! And I think that photo of poor Jacques is just hilarious!

Gravatar Those socks are absolutely gorgeous. I really like the subtle striping effect. Great job!

Gravatar Those are lovely There might have to be some purchasing later on...

Gravatar I went straight to Woolarina - no yarn at the moment- darn!
Your socks are just beautiful!

Gravatar Oh my... these are gorgeous! I'm going to add this pattern to my knitting queue!

Gravatar those are beautiful!!! love the striping - you can't see the pooling too much - the pattern does a nice job of breaking it up.

Gravatar Stunning. The color is so rich and pretty. Love the subtle variation...too bad her store isn't working at the moment.

Gravatar They are completely gorgeous! Yum.

Gravatar Another pair of beautiful socks! I really like this stripping, nice, but subtle.

I don't know how any of your moms do it!

Gravatar ok, so once again, i'm just repeating what everyone else has said, but they are great! and i concur about the striping on the bottom!!!!

Gravatar these are very very pretty socks, i love the pattern, and the yarn. wear in good health!

Gravatar Very, very nice! I have never heard of that yarn before and will have to make note of it. The photos are fabulous as is the knitting detail. I like the striped heel, too!

Gravatar Very nice I love those subtle colorways! They're great for showing off stitch patterns, but still add some knitting interest with their color changes.

Gravatar holyfreakingbeautiful! I love the striping on the heel, great job girl!

I loooove nap time. Really, really loooove nap time!

Gravatar I just keep going back to the photo of the rose-colored stripey-ness -- beautiful!

Gravatar Gorgeous!

Gravatar Pretty, pretty - you've sold me on the yarn - sadly the site is down while she's away

Gravatar very pretty. I like the stripey bottoms too!

Gravatar Those are some gorgeous photos of some beautiful socks!!

Gravatar Your socks are beautiful from every angle!

Gravatar Wow-I've been babysitting my nephew all week, and thingking "how in the hell do the stay-at-home moms do it???" Glad to have an actual mom confirm that

The socks are gorgeous--a perfect marriage of pattern & color.

Gravatar Gorgeous socks, my dear! I think I might finally be caught up with bloglines... it's nice to have a few spare moments to leave comments again...

Gravatar Love the pink and the lacy pattern! Hope you get some rest soon.

Gravatar Perfect......I love them!

Gravatar Those socks are absolutely perfect! I love that yarn!

Gravatar Just beautiful!!!

Gravatar Wow - your Orchid socks are gorgeous & I really like the way you knit the back - so unusual but effective! Great job.

Gravatar so, so, so beautiful! gorgeous colours and the yarn works so well with the pattern.

Gravatar I LOVE those socks! I haven't seen the pattern before. Have I been living under a rock or has it not made the rounds much?

Gravatar Very beautiful socks! I'm with you on not being able to keep up with bloglines. There are only so many hours in the day. I confess, sometimes I just declare amnesty and hit "mark all read".

Gravatar Those socks look wonderful--what a great pattern! I really like the yarn too--I'll have to give it a try. I prefer my socks yarns with the same tight twist that Koigu has, so this one sounds right up my alley!

Gravatar Wow! Very pretty indeed. Your mods are great - I like a little lace in socks, but sometimes all the way around the back is too much.

Gravatar beautiful socks Elinor, I like how you choose to put the pattern only on the front!

Gravatar Beautiful as always! I like the striping, too. Good luck with the mom thing, I'm not sure how people do it, either.

Gravatar Those are gorgeous. I love the way you can see the color pattern change from one needle size to the other. And the stockinette back is really lovely.

Gravatar Lovely striping on the feet! I actually almost always like the contrast of my sock yarns between the patterned part and the stockinette part. They look noticeably different, but they are naturally complimentary. They set each other off nicely, like two coordinated printed fabrics.

All that to say: nice socks!

Gravatar They're gorgeous Elinor.

Gravatar You are realy great!
