AHHHH....dads B B Q. A dry rub smoked to perfection with water soaked hickory chips...AHHHH. I smoked some meat yesterday on my small patio cooker looking thingy....but it's not the same as slow cooking in a 55 gallon metal drum. For my birthday, my spouse will be getting me one of those big smokers...can't wait! Let the meatiness begin!

Ten years ago, I realized that I had NEVER eaten quality barbecue. This happened when a friend, a native Texan, came back east from a visit home with Texas barbecue in her luggage. It did not leak, thank goodness, because I savored every bite of my portion. Yum. Your post teminded me of this tasty treat.
