I reckon that was after my time. I do remember my kids having some gunky looking things they collected out of the vending machines though. When I was a kid we collected the real items and kept them in fruit jars-except the damn mice and the barn cats pretty well kept them on the run. I kept a younger and older sister under pretty good control though, just the threats of turning loose a stinging critter around them was enough to make them leave me alone and another threat to do it if they told on me for doing it stopped that nonsense. My older sister still reminds me of how onery I was back then and I think she suspects that I still am.

Yeah...and I used to put rubber snakes way down in the covers of my Mom's side of the bed so that she wouldn't feel them until after she was almost all the way in...

Yeah, I remember them. I also remember 'creepy crawlers' - it was a little machine that had molds that you could squirt different colors of that stuff into and then it got heated up and made more creepy things.
Back then, kids had some cool toys - not it would probably be too dangerous according to the nannies of the world.

I remember them. And the Creepy Crawlers were the descendants of the all mighty Vac-U-Form, a dangerous toy.
