Reminds me of the throat surgery I underwent in 2001. Every doctor I saw, it seemed, had to ask the same question: "what surgeries have you undergone in the past?"

By the second time I got hit with that question, I had my answer prepared. I simply said, "I'm missing all my optional equipment." When that was met with a blank stare, I'd continue: "Appendectomy, 1995. Wisdom teeth extracted, 1994. Tonsilectomy, 1974. Circumcision, 1968." The reactions to that were, uh, interesting...
