As a first-century Jewish rabbi once said: "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works."
For the sake of the world, please don't hide those Sabbath candles.

Sometimes when we look into the mirror, we only see the effects that life has had on us. We fail to see the effect we've had on others. You and your wife are as surely responsible for passing down the positive attributes your daughter possesses as those people she spoke of passed down those rituals/traditions to others simply by living them. You are now reaping the reward of how you lived your life in front of your children. You should be proud.

Wow.
She writes beautifully and, I suspect, she probably delivered the speech beautifully as well.
She is a person to be proud of, as a daughter and as a friend.

I believe there's a Safam song about a woman who lit candles secretly.
And I'm pretty certain that former pitcher Tony Fossas has a similar story.
