Stretch's first kill was a snake...bigger than that one...but a snake just the same.
The cats will do him.

Um... I'm thinking the cats won't get along with him very well. Just a hunch.

Snakes rock. The bigger, the better.
Every year at Coney Island, a guy comes around with a HUGE yellow serpent coiled around his shoulders, and he charges five sheks for people to have their photos taken with it.
I just dig the way it feels.

If the snake gets big enough he'll probably swallow the cats...

Oooh...I love snakes.
I love rodents too-which is why I've never gotten one.
However...right before we moved from the Chicago area to St.Louis last summer my furry idiots cornered a small garter snake...in the house.
Luckily the 'brainiacs' are front declawed or the snakey would have been history.
Anyway I caught it, petted its little head, and let it go in the back yard.
The cats were mighty ticked that I took away their 'toy'.

Snakes and cats....generally not a good mix.
On the other hand, you could look at Plissken's habitat as Kitty Kat TV.
One channel...no commercials. Slow moving plot.

I figure that Rob probably is spinning like a Roto-Rooter right about now.

When I saw the preview for this is Bloglines, this post was at the bottom of the screen and all I saw was "Our New Pet" and the top curve of Plissken's back that is showing. My first thought?
Elisson's got himself one of those toilet snakes and is calling it a pet.
Heh.
Enjoy your new slithery friend - the brother of an ex of mine had a Boa named Legend...he was very cute.

Don't let Elisson kid ya. Morris William was on the right track; I would never let that thing in the house. My friend, JoAnn, and I found the little guy on the sidewalk by the side door. I quickly put a flower pot over him (one with an air-hole, don't worry)and left him there for Elisson to deal with. I'm pretty sure there he remains for more photo-ops later. Eric, want me to send him to you?

Erm, it's not a pet. Pets have fur. Or feathers.

When is a name not just a name? When Elisson calls his new snake something interesting like Plissken. It ain't just a name, it's a statement about Pop Kultcha, babee!
Now all he needs is a little Harley to curl around in his terrarium. And perhaps an automatic rifle in a gunrack hanging off the side?

G, you forgot the eyepatch - I wonder if they make itty bitty snakey patches?
