Is there such a thing as kosher Chinese food? Are there any items on the menu that are off limits?

There is a restaurant that intrigues me in a town near here. It says on the sign "Mexican/Chinese Food", and there is a picture of a sheep stuck to the window. As I said, it has captured my curiosity ... but not enough to make me want to risk the dining experience.

Traditional Chinese food is far from kosher, featuring as it does an abundance of pork and shellfish. But there are plenty of kosher Chinese restaurants that have adapted their menus to conform with Jewish dietary laws... at least, in the big cities.
