There was a tornado in Bay Ridge last year, which you may or may not know is a tightly-packed residential area, whose streets are grid-like (like most of New York), with two or three busy commercial strips.
A densely-populated place is one of the last places I’d expect a tornado to be able to touch down and flex its muscles, but, now that it has, I can say that I’m not surprised that one fomented in Downtown Atlanta.
I wonder if one of these aggressive funnel shits has the chutzpah to try and make New Yorkers in Midtown its bitch. I just can’t imagine a storm being able to whip up enough frenzied momentum amidst a city overcrowded with massive glass and steel skyscrapers, a gazillion yellow, cabs and nary a street with less than 75-100 peeps per city block.

Saw the tornado on the news last night and my first thoughts were of you and your family. So happy to hear that ya'll are safe and the young friend, too.

Tuned in to make sure you're OK. More baddies today around Atlanta. Hope you were out of harms way on those.
Minor issue, since the third time through I just stopped the loading of your page so I could read it. If not stopped, it goes off to never never land. Maybe just me.
Preparing to watch Tenn - Ark game from GT fieldhouse. Weird, stands are empty. Nobody there...

Looks like Sherman passed through sans the torch. Fate that it occurred on the eve of St.Paddy's day. The damage can be repaired but dealing with all those SOBER irishmen is too terrible to contemplate.

Yes, we were dodging them here in OKC two weeks ago. Glad to hear you are okay. I have a friend who moved to south of Atlanta five years ago. I called her this morning to check in with her and asked her isn't that the reason she moved from Oklahoma? To get away from these darn tornadoes. She laughed.

Glad to read that you and yours are safe. Somehow, being in a big city makes you feel as if the forces of nature should have less effect.
Then Mother Nature sends you a wake up call.
