Gravatar Vertigo?
The Birds?
Like her torch but it would take a looonnggg time to cut throught one inch plate.

Gravatar Love the Vertigo jewelry!

Gravatar Kitties!

Gravatar Nice. I like the Birds piece, wish I could afford it!

Is that torch something she needs for the heat? it seems unwieldy. I have a Harris 50 automatic that's much smaller, nicer to use, email me if you think she'd be interested. it's good to weld up to 1/4" thick steel, and is a common torch for jewelry etc. with oxyfuel work.

Gravatar WOW! She creates some beautiful pieces, I too am impressed with her talent. Gee, does she get it from her father's side...

Gravatar Not to be completly Pollyanna-ish, but your daughter has quite the comely face, and if she desires to keep it that way, it would behoove her to invest $20 in a full-face shield.

You've got acetylene and oxy under pressure and combusting at who-knows-what p.s.i., and it only takes a heartbeat for non-ferrous metal to puddle up and then spatter due to the torch's pressure. I've got a few little round scorch-holes on my hide from using a welding rig without sufficient protective gear.

Also, oxy-acetylene flame isn't a tenth of the retina-searing brightness of an arc-welder, but some eyeshades wouldn't be amiss, either.

Verbum sapienti satis est...

Gravatar No oxy, Cap - just acetylene.

Hot enough for soldering silver, but not for welding. Point well taken, though.

Gravatar Oh, sheesh, no wonder.

She need to get a dang bottle of oxygen. Save a lot of time, a lot more control. But when she has the big shop she can hire other people to make her designs. She doing any lost wax yet? Loads of fun.

Gravatar I visibly drool every time I see that beautiful bird necklace.

Gravatar So, where does she sell her jewelry? And does she do custom work?
