It's funny you mention 'MacArthur Park.' After Good Friday worship tonight, I was talking with a member of our parish, a former DJ, and somehow that song came up. We both agreed how truly awful it was. The lyrics of the supposed hook line alone should have been sufficient to get the thing flagged for rejection: "I don't know if I can take it/Cause it took so long to bake it..." Sheesh!
