Our flat-panel television, less than 3 years old... maybe less than 2, was officially declared a Boat Anchor last week. It sits in the living room still, we're having a real wake for it. Like maybe it'll wake up and start working.
It's not like there's tubes in the back or a cathode yoke one could flick or wiggle around. It's a blank, solid mystery now. A monolithic monument to mediocrity. :sigh:

The Morton's Salt opening was good, but overall I'm disappointed. Here I was hoping you'd rub a little salt in Jesse Jackson's gaping political wound, but what do I read instead??? - some tripe about the electronic chaos wrought by a Georgia thunderstorm.
C'mon, man!!! Where's that old cutting wit? Or do you just not have balls enough to tackle the gutsier issues of this campaign?

Believe me, I'm not being facetious when I say "I feel your pain." What with my computer problems of recent, my printer/scanner crapping out, my portable DVD player saying "F**k it!"...I know what it's like to be at the mercy of these sinister forces.

Criminy cripes. It's always something. It's never nothing.
Checked your back for any unusual birthmarks lately? Just askin', is all.

Well it's just like my Dad used to say..."The grass is always greener but why do I always find it (the hard way) at the bottom of a god-damned cliff?"
Hang in there!

With us it's the cars. They can sense when we've managed to accumulate a little savings and have it earmarked for a fun purchase.
And they conspire in the garage. They have their timing down on this. I think we should separate them, though there is the possibility that would lead to resentful cars, and a car with a grudge is never a good thing.
BTW, you'll love the front loading machines. Especially when you no longer have to haul comforters and sleeping bags to the laundromat.

Things always break down all at once. During times when you need to concentrate on other more important things. It's their way, things's way, of making us toe the line.
I say beat them about the corners with sharp objects and swear a lot.
Then take out another loan.
