Well yes, but for every person that predicted it, there are zillions that didn't.
Being predictable doesn't make something avoidable or even any particular action justifiable. And of course economic management is a game of avoiding self-fulfilling prophecies anyway. So even it were predictable (and it was), it is wiser not to predict it.
Competence is in the value judgements of those in a position to influence the outcomes.

Yes, there are other people who predicted the economic crisis, some more detailed than others. I read an interview with Med Yones, the economic oracle of the International Institute of Management, who predicted the economic crisis already in January 2007. The interview was published in CEO Magazine and gives a detailed overview about the health of the American economy, a future outlook, the impact of Obama’s policies on the economy, hindrances of a recovery and solutions to get out of the crisis.
